Formally organized in 2005, Pervious Solutions LLC is an environmentally conscience paving firm, specializing in pervious surfaces. We consult with engineers, architects, landscape architects, contractors, developers, home owners, and regulatory agencies to help educate and build a more sustainable alternative to impervious ground coverage. Through planning, design, and use of permeable pavement systems, we are able to reduce the adverse impacts of developmental stormwater runoff..

A Permeable Pavement system is defined as an engineered hard surface which captures and temporarily retains stormwater runoff. The captured stormwater is then exfiltrated through an under-drain system, or allowed to infiltrate in to the sub-soil, thus recharging the water table. These systems including but are not limited to Pervious Concrete, Permeable Interlocking Concrete Pavers, Permeable Concrete Paver Systems, Concrete Grid Pavers, and Plastic Turf Reinforcing Grid.

Permeable pavements are a unique and effective means to address important environmental issues, and support sustainable growth. By capturing rainwater and allowing it to seep into the ground, permeable pavement is instrumental in recharging the groundwater aquifer, reducing stormwater runoff, and meeting the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) stormwater regulations. In fact, the use of permeable pavement is among the Best Management Practices (BMPs) for the management of stormwater runoff recommended by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and North Carolina Department of Environmental and Natural Resources (NCDENR). This pavement technology creates more efficient land use by eliminating the need for retention ponds, swales, and other stormwater management devices. In doing so, permeable pavement has the ability to lower an overall project costs, on a first-cost basis. Also, as commented on in the Wall Street Journal and Smart Money magazine, permeable paver systems offer a greater return on investment, by added value to a project through curb appeal.

Pervious Solutions LLC has attained the accreditation of 'Craftsman' through the National Ready Mix Concrete Association (NRMCA), and Certified Installer through the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI). We are active members of the USGBC, NRMCA, CRMCA and the Cape Fear Green Building Alliance (CFGBA). We are recognized in our industry as a professional organization who takes pride in the quality of our finished work.
